I vividly remember one of the scenes in Pulp
fiction :Jules (Samuel L Jackson) and Vincent
Wega (John Travolta ) ,two mob hit men, sitting in
a coffee shop, eating their brunch and discussing
the very sudden decision of Jules to quit as a
mercenary and embark on waking the earth.
Vincent Wega asks Jules the reason of this
unexpectedly rapturous sudden u-turn and
implores to get to know if he’d made this out-of-
blue-coming decision during eating his muffin and
drinking his coffee. But the point that makes this
scene permanently memorable to me is Jules’s
simple answer that: Yes. I Decided to stop killing
right now eating my muffin and drinking my coffee
and contemplating…….sometimes we seek quite
sophisticated a set of circumstances to change our
ways of living and as a matter of fact we never see
such a set provided, maybe not in a whole lifetime
and this winds us up with a never-willing-to-veer-
off-the-wrong -path soul. We pathetically keep on
taking the vicarious pleasure of a hypothetical
change and actually just getting satisfied with a
mere veneer of any-moment-prone-to vanishing
dream and in the end what’s in our hands?
Nothing , Nothing and Nothing…….and the
moment we are in the agony of death just the
sediment of a vague, repenting ghost that rues all the bygone losses is our last share of Being
